Can I suspend my service during the winter?

Internet Papineau customers can suspend their account for $6.95 per month. Your service will be interrupted, and only $6.95 will be charged per month regardless of your plan.

This is a great option if you want to connect your cottage or if you are leaving on an extended trip. Simply call us the month before you want your service to be suspended and everything will be done with no administration fees. To reactivate your plan, contact us,and your service will be restored immediately.

What equipment do I need?

You must have a router. If you already have one, our technicians will be able to configure it to give you access to our network. If you do not have one, Internet Papineau can sell you a wireless model (TP-Link wr841n); it will belong to you and it cost will be added to your first invoice.

Any device able to connect to the Internet is compatible with our service.

Is it important to have a line of sight (LOS) with the distribution tower?

Yes. Our technicians will install a wireless device on your property that will connect to an access point located in one of our telecommunications towers. The device can be mounted on the edge of your roof, under an eave, on an exterior facade, or in a metal tower attached to your house, provided that it can be climbed. If such a tower is required, Internet Papineau is willing to install and rent one for you. Please check with our staff to see if a conventional installation is not possible.

Can the speed of my internet connection vary?

Each region is unique, and there may be some speed variations depending on your location. Challenges, such as mountains and dense forests obstructing the line of sight between your devices and the broadcasting tower, can influence speed performances. However, we embrace these challenges as opportunities for continuous innovation. Year after year, we achieve better performances.

During the installation visit, our team of expert technicians will assess the achievable speeds specific to your location, and you can decide if it meets your expectations before installation. This is our way of ensuring complete transparency and providing exceptional performances in the region.

My service is no longer working, what can I do?

It will be our pleasure to assist you in restoring your service. However, it should be noted that most service interruptions are due to a problem with the router. The issue can easily be solved by disconnecting the router’s power cable, waiting approximately 20 seconds, and reconnecting the power cable. This reboot process usually restores the connection. If the connection is not restored, do not take any further action, and contact our team.

Contactez-nous au 819-506-2110, au poste 1, nous déterminerons la nature de votre préoccupation et proposerons une résolution à celle-ci.

Si votre plainte demeure irrésolue, nous la soumettrons à notre comité de résolution des plaintes, lequel est composé d’un collège de gestionnaires de l’organisation. Un délégué vous recontactera promptement pour vous informer de la décision rendue.

En cas d’insatisfaction suivant ce processus, Internet Papineau invite le plaintif ou la plaintive à entrer en contact avec la Commission des Plaintes Relatives aux Services de Télécom-Télévision.
