INTERNET PAPINEAU IMPROVES HIGH SPEED SERVICE
WITHIN THE TERRITORY

More households in the municipalities of Lochaber-Partie-Ouest, Boileau, Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix and Ripon now have access to stable high-speed Internet.

Since the beginning of January, Internet Papineau has made improvements to its network in order to provide more households in the region with a more stable connection to high-speed Internet.

The modernization of the broadcasting infrastructure in the Lochaber-Partie-Ouest, Boileau, Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix and Ripon sectors now allows the local Internet provider to guarantee service performance and take on more customers in these municipalities.

Mainly, the power supply to the towers has been changed to increase the available bandwidth and avoid slowdowns. New tower access points are now using a more contemporary method of encapsulating data, ensuring customers in these areas a stable download speed of 10 Mbit / s.

More specifically in In Lochaber-Partie-Ouest, these access points allow Internet Papineau to cover new households more efficiently over country roads 3, 4 and 5, an announcement eagerly awaited by the municipality.

“This is great news for our residents. We all know that these days, the economic development and the citizens’ quality of life rely on high-speed internet. We are ready to continue our fruitful collaboration with Internet Papineau so that our citizens always have access to the best possible coverage”, explains Pierre Renaud, mayor of Lochaber-Partie-Ouest.

Customers are now able to observe a lowering of the impacts of high consumption during peak hours, as well as a greater stability of download and send speeds. These improvements will also make it possible to offer higher speeds in the future.

Remember that Internet Papineau’s mission is to provide high-speed and low-cost Internet access to citizens, businesses and companies within its territory. All of the organization’s profits are reinvested in community infrastructures to provide even more isolated households with the opportunity to enjoy real high-speed Internet service.
